Augustine Phinisi is a family business founded in 2019 in honor of our beloved Oma (grandmother) Augustine who had recently passed at the time. Our business is family-run — from building our Phinisi in Tanahberu to managing daily activities, making sure our guests have the trip of their lifetimes. Bajo Tribe Tour

Visit the village by the sea that becomes the inspiration for Avatar: The Way of Water. Go back in time and see their way of life as a traditional fisherman. Visit the local school to meet the island kids and donate books to the school library-in collaboration with Augustine Phinisi.

Kids Treasure Hunt

Ahoy, mates! Children are welcome to participate in a fun Treasure Hunt activity, where they will learn a bit about our Phinisi’s parts and about sailing at the same time

Be A Marine Biologist

For A Day

Augustine Phinisi partners up with Seakola for an exciting exploration of Bajo’s sea and marine life. Learn briefly about Coral Reef and Coral Bleaching, and take data for University of Queensland's Coral Watch citizen science project. The short yet wholesome program will be guided by our marine biologist, who is thrilled to invite you to learn and give back to the ecosystem!

An educational adventure program for middle school and high school students.
